Trinity Live Grade 4 Violin: Supporting-Test Plan and Free Sample
A Trinity live Grade 4 Violin plan needs prepared pieces, technical work and the supporting tests actually permitted at this grade. Record those choices before filling the calendar. Emphasise longer phrases, mixed rhythms and clearer musical contrast, notice treble-clef scanning, E-string clarity and left-hand frame across the upper strings, and rehearse arriving, listening and beginning once. This page is independent preparation guidance, not a Trinity specimen paper.
A published original knowledge-support bank is available for Violin Trinity Live Grade 4. Question scores measure those tasks only. They are not a practical readiness mark.
Arco is independent of Trinity College London. We link to official requirements and supply original preparation drills. We do not enter you for an exam, publish protected repertoire lists, or guarantee a result.
What this format asks you to practise.
- Three prepared pieces with clear character choices
- Technical work including the selected syllabus option (Violin technical geography)
- Supporting test 1 as permitted at your grade at Grade 4
- Supporting test 2 chosen from the live options for that grade
A twelve-week shape.
Adjust the pace with your teacher. The point is balanced components, not a promised outcome.
Weeks 1–2
Confirm the current Trinity Live Grade 4 Violin requirements with your teacher. Write the exact syllabus edition at the top of the plan and separate repertoire from unseen tasks.
Weeks 3–4
Build a repeatable warm start around longer phrases, mixed rhythms and clearer musical contrast. Keep one short pulse drill each session before polishing favourite openings.
Weeks 5–6
Give technical work its own slot. Randomise prompts where the format expects it, and log first attempts instead of restart stories.
Weeks 7–8
Protect sight-reading or supporting-test time twice a week. Use new lawful examples so familiarity does not pretend to be first-attempt skill.
Weeks 9–10
Run mixed weeks that touch every assessed component once. Mark measured question results separately from practice notes about playing.
Weeks 11–12
Do one calm full mock shape for the live or submitted format you actually booked. Repair only the highest-leverage fault, then recheck official entry rules.

Questions learners ask.
Does Arco predict my Trinity Live Grade 4 Violin mark?
No. Readiness tools organise practice and, where published, score original knowledge questions. They do not award a Trinity College London mark, forecast a pass, or replace a teacher’s assessment of your playing.
Are official Trinity College London pieces and papers included?
No. Obtain protected repertoire, technical lists and specimen materials from Trinity College London or your teacher. Arco links to official pages and offers original drills that support the skills those formats assess.
What is different about the Violin plan at this level?
The pathway and grade 4 set the assessed components; the instrument changes clef, string geography and technical detail. This page keeps treble-clef scanning, E-string clarity and left-hand frame across the upper strings in view while you still verify the current Trinity College London instrument syllabus.
Keep the official source beside the plan.
